    Abstract: The fitness parameter has been studied in Drosophila melanogaster, D. bipectinata,D. malerkotliana and D. ananassae. 7 day aged virgin flies were used for mating experiment, it revealed that, mating latency is more in D. malerkotliana and less in D. melanogaster.
